We’re here to assist you with selling your bottles!

And whether it’s because of a clean-up (due to moving or inheritance), the need to turn assets into cash, or a trade deal involving surplus stock, we’re thrilled to repurpose those cherished bottles so another aficionado can derive even more pleasure from them.

At Corks & Caps, we’re a full-service auction house. That means we’d love to come and take a look at the bottles you’re offering right at their storage location (we’re always curious about the story behind the cellar and/or the bottles). This allows us to assess the storage conditions and the collection’s value. With your approval (and under a written management agreement), we’ll then take the offered bottles and handle everything at our location. We’ll organize the collection, polish the individual bottles to get them ready for optimal photography, provide descriptions of their condition and/or origin, and list them on our site.

Of course, we’ll make arrangements in advance regarding any bidding conditions and the reserve price (the minimum amount at which the items may or may not be sold).

For this service, we typically charge a 10% commission on the hammer price. Unsold lots can be reintroduced at a subsequent auction or an aftersale auction, or if you prefer be returned to you.
